Choose the best growing environment
Flower konjac is suitable for planting in the area of 1700-2300 m above sea level, and white konjac is suitable for growing in the area below 1500 m above sea level. In planting, it is advisable to choose a small mountain environment with high surrounding forest coverage, short direct sunlight time, half shade and half sun, and high air humidity, and the northern slope is the best for planting. [5]
Promote crop rotation
Because continuous cropping is easy to increase the incidence of soft rot and white silkworm disease, crop rotation is advocated in planting, and the rotation interval is 2-3 years. In planting, care should be taken not to select the plots that were previously used as taro and eggplant. [5]
Disinfect and kill pests
Choose sandy loam with deep and loose soil layer on gentle slopes for planting, and dig and dry in time after harvesting. Narrow platforms and steep slopes can be sown in ponds or drills, and ridges can be planted on flat or gentle slopes. Before planting, use 25-40 kg of quicklime and 2 kg of copper sulfate to spread and dig the soil surface, or spray the planting furrow with 500 times liquid of 70% dixon during sowing for sterilization treatment, and use 2.5% per mu. 2-2.5 kg of trichlorfon mixed with medicinal soil is spread in the planting ditch or pond to kill soil pests. [5]
Soak seeds before sowing
Before sowing, the bulbs with full bud eyes, shallow bud nests, no damage from wounds and pests, smooth appearance and smooth appearance were selected as seed taro. In the production of commercial taro, bulbs of 200-500 g are used as seed taro, and the production of white konjac commercial taro uses bulbs below 100 g as seed taro, and 10 million units of agricultural streptomycin 800 times solution or 50% carbendazim can be used. 1000 times of wet powder or oxalic acid with pH=3.5, soak the seeds for 30 minutes before sowing, or dress the seeds with a 2:1 mixture of plant ash and quicklime, and dry the treated taro for 1-2 d in the sun before sowing. In places where provenance is insufficient, bulbs can also be cut and propagated. The method is to select intact flower konjac over 500 g and white konjac over 200 g and cut them lengthwise with a sharp knife. Sow seeds after dipping. [5]
Reasonable and dense planting of seed taro
In order to standardize the planting, facilitate the management and harvesting of konjac, according to the size of the taro, a hierarchical planting is implemented, and reasonable dense planting is emphasized in the planting, so as to create a temperature and humidity environment suitable for the growth of konjac, and increase the yield per unit area. [5]
When the size of the seed taro is 400-500 g, the planting size is 35 cm × 50 cm, and the net planting per mu is 3800-4000 ponds;
When the size of the seed taro is 200-300 g, the planting size is 30 cm×40 cm, and the net planting per mu is 5500-6000 ponds;
When the size of the seed taro is 50-100 g, the planting size is 20 cm×30 cm, and the net planting of 10,000-12,000 ponds per mu;
When the weight of taro is less than 50 g, drill seeding is carried out, the planting size is 10 cm × 20 cm, and the net planting per mu is 20,000-23,000 ponds.
